Carrapateira is especially appreciated by surfers and nature lovers, as it is situated in an area with easy access to some of the most emblematic beaches on the west coast, such as Praia da Bordeira and Praia do Amado. These beaches are known for their consistent waves and unspoiled natural beauty.

Beaches



Bordeira Beach:  a beautiful and expansive beach known for its wide stretch of golden sand, rolling dunes making it look like a desert and with a beach bar with a surf school in the midle of the sand dunes giving an even more relaxing experience at the beach.


Amado Beach: a stunning destination on the southwestern coast. Known for its golden sands, dramatic cliffs, and clear blue waters, it's a favorite among surfers for its consistent waves. The beach offers a relaxed atmosphere with two beach bars (one at the top and one at the bottom near the beach) along with a few surf schools, ideal for both adventure seekers and those looking to unwind.

Sítio do Forno: Traditional portuguese food and seafood with a stunning view to the ocean 


Alecrim: Variety of pizzas and other european dishes located near the centre


Restaurante do Cabrita: with a cosy space and with traditional portuguese food, mainly sea food

Church and Museum



Church: Check if there is a local church that may be of historical or architectural interest.


Museum: on the top of the village with expeditions and pictures of how Carrapateira and the population used to look like in the last century.
