The ultimate getaway
Among the many charms that the Algarve has to offer, there are areas where nature remains untouched, such as Carrapateira.
Imagine walking along a pristine beach, standing on our decks and watching the waves break, then exploring the rocky promontories and secluded coves along this incredible stretch of sand. The beaches of Amado and Bordeira, the jewels of the West Coast, world-famous for their sand, sunsets and surf, compel visitors to walk, beachcomb and surf on their sparkling shores.
Many other extraordinary natural attractions surround Carrapateira in the Costa Vicentina Natural Park.
This Natural Park is the largest stretch of protected coastline in Portugal, covering an area of 76,000 hectares, of which around 80 km, located between Odeceixe beach and the fishing village of Burgau, are part of the Algarve coastal region.
Activities
SURF
Amado is probably the most famous beach in the region and home to the highest concentration of surfers.
Its fame comes from the many competitions that take place throughout the year and from the surf schools that have chosen this beach to work at.
We also have Bordeira, which is undoubtedly the beach for big riders! It's the best spot in the region, offering the best conditions with an extremely long wave. It's located immediately north of Amado beach.
On windy days, it's also an excellent beach for kitesurfing.
YOGA CLASSES

After completing her yoga teacher training in 2021, Teresa has been passionate about guiding others in connecting their body, mind, and breath.

HORSEBACK RIDING
There is an excellent equestrian center in Carrapateira. Paid by the hour or by the day, the horses can be rented for individual rides, in small groups or with an experienced guide.
